Rising Star and Bruises

Last night I made Rising Star Director with Visalus! I have officially made $500 from this company in less than 2 weeks. Not too shabby for not having to do much but spread the word of a healthy lifestyle! To get to this level I had to enroll 3 customers and 3 distributors within the first 30 days of becoming a distributor and have a group product volume of $1200. Now I am guaranteed a certain amount of money each month and can get into the weekly enrollers pool which gives me extra money based on my performance. This week from the pool I made $130! This whole thing seems too good to be true but today I got a check in the mail reminding me that it is not!

I also upgraded my shake kit. I started out on the "Shape" kit which came with 2 shakes a day for 30 days. This is the most common at $99. My new kit is the "Transformation" kit which is a $249 value that I am still getting for FREE because I have customers under me. I am excited to try the metab-awake, clear hunger/stress control and neuro energy drinks that are coming with my new FREE kit!

One of the things I mentioned in my first posts is that I wanted my random bruises to go away with the shakes and so far they haven't. :( I don't like those unsightly things that pop up for some reason. Currently I am rocking two ugly ones on my left leg and I have NO idea where they came from. With my new kit I am getting vitamins too. Maybe they will help!

I AM DOWN 10 LBS SINCE STARTING MY CHALLENGE 3 WEEKS AGO!!!

Loving the shake life without sleeping pills!

I can't rave enough about these shakes! I had a few rough days last week due to my eating disorder but I have been back on the bandwagon for the past 3 days and am feeling amazing again. By far the COOLEST benefit of my Visalus shakes have been being able to get off of my sleeping pills. I have had insomnia since junior high and on average got 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I have relied on sleeping pills for years and got to the point where I was prescribed 2 ambien cr a night just to get a few hours of sleep but never feeling rested. I have been on the shakes for almost three weeks and haven't taken even 1 sleeping pill in the last week and a half. I can't tell you how wonderful this feels! I no longer have to drug myself to sleep. Thanks to proper nutrition in the form of this miracle shake I can sleep like a normal person.

Starting Over....ED Struggles

Eating disorders are an ugly beast. Just when you think that they have gone away for the long haul they like to sneak up and attack at any point. I have been experiencing this for the past few days and I have put him back to sleep. I guess he's my equivalent of a boogie monster that lives under the bed. Here's a bit of history...I was hospitalized for 4 months back in 2008-2009 for anorexia. I got down to less than 100 lbs and was in really bad shape. While I was there I learned more than anyone needs to know about eating disorders. Yes, at that time I was anorexic but bigger than that I learned that I have an eating disorder and they tend to take on many forms. I have worked through the recovery process and from time to time feel 100% better but most of the time there are some aspects that I cannot get rid of. I have learned some of my triggers with stress and lonliness being the main two.

Fast forward to this past week with starting school back up. I have been run ragged physically and mentally. The transition from Kindergarten to 4th grade has been a trying one but I don't regret it at all. I just have to be at peace that I don't handle stress the best way. On top of that I have realized that I really don't like being at home alone at night. Those two things together awoke the monster at the end of last week. I had been doing SO good with the Visalus shakes but it went out the door. Like I said before, I started as an anorexic but "the beast" is a shapeshifter and wanted to come back in a different form this time. I am pretty sure I have gained a pound or two back since these bad few days but I refuse to get on the scale to look. I am not weighing again for at least a week.

Today I have started back on my shakes and am calling it Day 1. I want to do a full 90 days the right way. I can forgive myself for falling back into old ways but more importantly I am working on protecting myself to try to not fall into that pattern again.

I just feel like I need to throw that out there....I started to get down on myself for "failing" my customers by not following the challenge to a T but then I know I am just human. Not only that, I carry an ED that makes things a bit more challenging.

Here's to day 1!

Short Term goals:
- Follow the challenge as closely as possible for the next 2 weeks before I go to AZ.
- Work out 4 times each week.
- Keep a food journal.
- Drink more water.
- Restart my 2 weeks cleanse tablets.

Long term goal:
- Lose 25 lbs
- Go down 1-2 pants sizes
- Run a 1/2 marathon

There you have it! Encouraging thoughts are appreciated! :)

Rocking as a Distributor

I have been a Visalus distributor for 4 days and it is already rocking! I have already doubled my investment! I am also happy to say that I have my first distributor signed up under me. I know Jennifer is going to rock Visalus. With a system that makes you feel this good it is a win/win situation. Also, my mom, stepdad and brother have decided to join the challenge all for different reasons. I can't wait for them to get started so I can report their success as well.

Each day I continue to be amazed by the wonderfulness of Visalus. For example, I was spending RIDICULOUS ammounts of money on groceries and eating out before Visalus. Since starting my shakes two weeks ago I have saved so much money. My shakes were a one time payment of $99. I went to the grocery store today to get mix ins for my shakes and some lean cuisines along with snacks and only spent $40. I honestly won't need to spend any more money on food for at least another 3 weeks. $40 for 3 weeks worth of food??? It's incredible!

I am still at 7lbs lost today but I decided to take another picture and actually post one of my before pictures which I am mortified of. I really want to show the success I have had. Never have I been on a diet where I lose the majority of my weight in my stomach and love handles. With Visalus I have seen the bulk of my weight gone from there. It's amazing!

Here was day 1 side shot (I hate hate hate hate hate this picture! All I can do is stare at the roll on my stomach!)

Here is day 11 side shot....no more roll! This system feels like a miracle!

For dinner tonight I made a snickerdoodle shake with almond milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp cinnamon, Vi-shape powder and 6 ice cubes. It's delicious! I feel like I am having cinnamon ice cream for dinner. Oh so sinful but less than 300 calories!

Week 1 Recap

Monday was officially 1 week since I started my Visalus Shape shakes. In that week I lost 4 lbs and 4 inches as well. More importantly I feel better than ever! I have more energy than I have in my entire life. I have religiously had a shake for breakfast and lunch and then have had normal dinners. There were two nights that I had a healthy lean cuisine but I also ate "bad" and had Mexican food and cheeseburgers as well. I am amazed that I can eat like that and still lose weight.

I am SO impressed with the Visalus shakes and the company that I signed up to become a distributor after only 1 week. I want to share what I have found with people that are looking to get healthy while making some money at the same time. My hope is to pay off some of my remaining hospital bills from when I was in for anorexia. I think this would be a great way to bring closure to the whole situation.

I have to share what I am having right now though! I made a blueberry cheesecake shake and it is DELICIOUS!!! This is definitely going to the top of my list. I love the versatility of the shakes. With the shake powder being so packed full of nutrients and still only 90 calories per serving, you have free reign to add in whatever you please. Yesterday I invented a s'more shake and added cocoa powder, graham cracker and marshmallow to my shake mix and still created a shake under 300 calories. You can't beat it!

I love this dissection of the nutrition in 1 serving of Vi Shake. Saving money and losing weight are amazing!

Sexy at six...LOL

Today is day 6 of "the challenge" and I am still rocking it. I hate the "challenge" title because not one thing about my Vi Shakes is challenging. I wake up every morning feeling fantastic and every shake recipe I try is delicious!

One of the coolest things I have noticed since starting the shakes on Monday is my increased energy. For the past 2 days I have done 90 minutes of cardio at the gym and felt fantastic. That NEVER would have happened before. I took a Pilates Reformer class today and it kicked my butt, but we had fun at the same time. I definitely need to build upper body strength. My arms are going to HURT tomorrow.

I am almost down 4 lbs since Monday. Initially I didn't think it were possible but the scale isn't fluctuating any. I took a picture today because I was feeling good about myself. I can already see small results compared to one of my before pictures.

OOOOOH and I finally have 3 people signed up under me which means I am getting my shakes for FREE in September. Talk about saving money! :)

I am a happy girl....hands down.

Feel good after four...

Today is the fourth day of my challenge and I am loving it! I have lost 3 lbs so far which is way more than I expected by this point. Yesterday I only had 1 shake and 2 regular meals though. I feel like I have cheated big time but that is just my competative nature. I know that I am okay. For lunch yesterday I had a subway sandwich and for dinner I had mexican chicken. Today I did fine with my two shakes and no snacks. I had a 1/2 chicken torta for dinner and 1/2 of my refried beans along with some chips and salsa. I have noticed that I get full a lot quicker for my nightly meal. :)

I haven't branched out with my shakes yet. Everything has included chocolate because they are so delicious! I am sure I will get tired of chocolate eventually and branch out to the fruity flavors but for now I am satisfied.

Yes, I am in love with my Vi-Shakes. End.of.story!
